Reviews about Cases Noves

Despite being in the centre of the most visited village in Spain, Cases Noves was an hotel that enabled you to retreat inside but watch the tourism outside. On arrival we were personally greeted by the owner and his wife, who gave us a conducted tour of the communal areas, ie TV lounge with netflix, amazon and many DVDs, music room, computer available to use within a lovely lounge area, a dining room and terrace. We were given an Ipad containing all the tourist information for the village and the surrounding area, the menu for each evening and discounts for the local attractions. Our luggage was taken to our room without us even noticing they had taken it up for us. We were shown to our room, named Bernia, a double with ensuite shower. The view was down the valley towards the coast and a glimpse of the castle. The room was air conditioned, juliet doors, double bed which was comfortable, a very clean ensuite with lovely toiletries & towels provided. They have an honesty bar which was great, various beers & spirits which were priced less than the nearest bar. Dinner had to be ordered using the Ipad before 7pm with a choice of 3 starters, mains and desserts at a fixed price of 23.50 euros, great local, delicious food & price. You could dine inside or on the terrace looking out across to the castle and the coast. We chose to eat at 8pm but stayed enjoying the terrace, balmy evening and soft music until leaving at around 11pm to walk around the deserted village. Breakfast was also served on the terrace which we were advised would be a long affair, we were not disappointed. A lovely plate of local fruit, which the owner pointed out each farm where the fruit had been grown, fresh yoghurt, freshly squeezed juice, not just orange but varied fruits. Meats and cheeses from local farmers with olive oil from the owners garden and croissants with preserve made by the owners wife. To round it all off a fresh omelette and coffee or tea. We stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. We used the ipad to order dinner but you could read British newspapers & magazines on the Ipad if you had time! A really pleasant hotel run and owned by a really polite, talented, helpful, nice Spanish couple who went out of their way to make everything perfect for their guests. You would not believe you were only 22kms from Benidorm, the contrast is amazing. Would we stay again? Yes, tomorrow if we could and we would advise everybody to try it just to escape from the Costas for a little peace and rest. Having said rest you must climb up the castle but take your water with you! Just a tip, book direct with the hotel to bag yourself a discount with in room tea and coffee making facilities, free wi fi and free car parking included.
